The ATR-42MM combines the reliability, maintainability and low life-cycle costs of its commercial ATR ancestor with a state-of-the-art mission system, advanced sensors and a complete communication suite, to create an effective and affordable force multiplier optimized for maritime operations.
At the heart of the ATR-42MM is the Airborne Tactical Observation and Surveillance System (ATOS), designed and built by Leonardo’s Airborne & Space Systems Division.

The ATR-72MM combines the reliability, maintainability, low life-cycle costs and high crew comfort levels of the commercial ATR 72-600 regional aircraft with a state-of-the-art mission system, advanced sensors and a complete communication suite, to create an effective and affordable force multiplier, with excellent Command, Control, Communication, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) capabilities, whilst retaining ample growth capability.
